At 17.66 pounds per wheel (according to Moss' website) regular Panasport 16x7xZero wheels aren't especially light. Note also that Panasport offers a "Racing Use Only" version of their 8-spoke wheel. IMHO, Panasport was and is the cream of that crop, but if you like the eight spoke style you'll find lots of alternatives. That opened the door for a whole bunch of copycat brands. You can buy genuine Made-in-England Minilites now, but for years they weren't exported to USA. "Minilite" brand wheels date to that era. The Dunlop SPs I settled for ( on my 2nd car ) are no match for the XASs I searched in vain over year a few years back to no avail. If you can scrounge a set of these somehow you'll be very pleased with them. My Michelin 185-HR15 XASs were made in the UK shortly after the turn of the century. To preserve the rpm/mph relationship there are limited options, and to keep the tyre diameter the same a much fatter modern tyre would be needed, adversely affecting acceleration and braking. All of the alternatives offered better performance than the redlines, it seems. Our Universal Sport radial tires are the perfect compliment to the style and speed of great European. We believe this fully documented, low mile TR6 is among one of the best examples you will.
